O VBA-M é uma das opções mais populares para emular jogos do Game Boy e Game Boy Color. Ele é baseado no projeto VisualBoyAdvance, mas foi melhorado com vários recursos adicionais e mantém o código atualizado.

O VBA-M é uma fork, ou seja, um projeto derivado de outro, que foi criado mesclando várias outras forks do VisualBoyAdvance. A sigla “M” no nome VBA-M significa Merge, ou seja, mesclagem. Além de ser compatível com os dois primeiros consoles da série Game Boy, o VBA-M também possui um núcleo de emulação do Game Boy Advance, que foi portado para o RetroArch/Libretro e modificado para a versão VBA-Next.

Além disso, existe também o VBA-GX, que é um port do VBA-M para o Nintendo Wii, permitindo o controle por movimento em jogos emulados do Game Boy Advance. Em resumo, o VBA-M é uma opção versátil e atualizada para emular jogos dos consoles Game Boy e Game Boy Color.
